FABRICATE 2014 Zurich

FABRICATE 2014, the second event in the series, was organised by the Professorship for Architecture and Digital Fabrication at ETH Zurich with The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. It brought together researchers and practitioners in architecture, construction, engineering, manufacturing, materials and software design, with an exhibition and a book alongside the conference.

It asked whether the innovations of digital fabrication would become relevant at a larger scale, and whether they would change design and building culture more deeply than they first appeared to. Projects selected through the peer-reviewed Call for Work were presented in four sessions: Challenging the Thresholds, Material Exuberance, Forming Machines and Living Assemblies.
